Consent to receive electronic marketing

When you sign up for our newsletter, you give consent to Hedeskov Center for Regenerative Practice to send you electronic marketing material via email and for us to process your personal data.

The newsletters include information about activities within regenerative principles, news about Hedeskov, updates on our current projects and activities, and invitations to our events.

You can withdraw your consent at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Hedeskov is also responsible for the processing of your personal data related to the sending of the newsletter.

Information collected about you

When you sign up for Hedeskov's newsletter, we collect your email address, IP address, and the time of your subscription.

We use the third-party service Simplero to send our newsletters. Through your use of the newsletter, Simplero collects additional information about you and your interaction with our newsletters.

This information includes, for example, whether our newsletter is opened and whether and when links in the newsletter are clicked.

How your information is collected

In addition to the information you provide to us, information is collected about you via the service Simplero, which is provided by Powerful Through Grace, Inc. Simplero uses cookies and other tracking technologies. By signing up for our newsletter, you also agree that Powerful Through Grace, Inc. may use cookies and other tracking technologies to generate information about your use of the newsletter.

Purpose of processing your personal data and legal basis

The purposes of processing your personal data are the following:

  • To send you our newsletter We use your email address to send newsletters to you. We process this information based on GDPR Article 6(1)(a) (consent).

  • To continuously and generally improve our newsletter We use the information collected via Simplero about your use of our newsletter to evaluate and improve our newsletters, to better target and customize the content to our users in the future. We process this data based on GDPR Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest in processing your data is to gain insight into usage so that we can tailor our newsletters to be relevant and up-to-date for you.

  • To document your consent to receive electronic marketing material according to Section 10(1) of the Marketing Act For this purpose, we use your IP address, the time of your subscription or unsubscription, and your email address to document your consent to receive our newsletter. We process this information based on GDPR Article 6(1)(c) (legal obligation), as we are required to demonstrate compliance with Section 10 of the Marketing Act.

Recipients of your personal data

We disclose your personal data to Powerful Through Grace, Inc., which provides the Simplero service we use to send newsletters.

Simplero acts as our data processor and processes your personal data solely for our purposes and under our instructions.

In certain circumstances, Simplero also uses your personal data for its own purposes, and Powerful Through Grace, Inc. acts as an independent data controller in such cases.

Powerful Through Grace, Inc. may transfer your personal data to third countries in some instances.

Withdrawal of consent and unsubscribing from the newsletter

You may withdraw your consent to receive our newsletters and the processing of your personal data at any time without giving a reason. When you withdraw your consent, you will be unsubscribed from the newsletter, and you will no longer receive newsletters from us.

You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking the "unsubscribe newsletter" link contained in every newsletter you receive from us. You may also send an email to us with your name and email address, stating that you wish to withdraw your consent.

Retention period for your personal data

We retain and process your personal data for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter.

In accordance with the Consumer Ombudsman’s guidelines on the statute of limitations for violations of Section 10 of the Marketing Act, we store documentation of your consent to receive marketing material for two years after we last used your consent or you withdrew it. We may retain the information for a longer period if necessary. The information we retain includes your email address, IP address, and the time of subscription and unsubscription.

Your additional rights under GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have several rights concerning our processing of information about you. You can read more about your rights in the Danish Data Protection Agency’s guide on data subject rights.

If you wish to exercise your rights, you must contact us.

Your rights include, among others:

  • Right to access the information (right of access)

  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)

  • Right to rectification (correction)

  • Right to object to the processing of your personal data

Right to file a complaint

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency if you are dissatisfied with the way we process your personal data. You can find the contact information for the Data Protection Agency at www.datatilsynet.dk.
